Chairman of the CPN-Maoist Center Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that efforts are being made to save the ruling coalition.
Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has called a meeting of the coalition to discuss the issue after the ruling coalition disagreed on the issue of getting the MCC agreement approved by the parliament. A meeting of the coalition is being held at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar at 5 pm.
Before the meeting, Dahal had a discussion with Prime Minister Deuba in the morning and in the afternoon with CPN-U Samajwadi Party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal.
After the discussion, President Dahal said that he was trying to find a way to save the alliance. “The meeting of the coalition is being held at 5 o’clock in the morning. We discussed the preparations for that meeting,” Dahal said. “Our emphasis is on saving the alliance as much as possible,” he said.
